Friday Funny

The Dead Cow and Vet School

First-year students at the The Ohio State Vet school were receiving their first anatomy class, with a real dead cow. They all gathered around the surgery table with the body covered with a white sheet. The professor started the class by telling them, 'In Veterinary Medicine it is necessary to have two important qualities as a doctor: The first is that you not be disgusted by anything involving the animal body.' For an example, the Professor pulled back the sheet, stuck his finger in the butt of the dead cow, withdrew it and stuck his finger in his mouth. 'Go ahead and do the same thing,' he told his students. The students freaked out, hesitated for several minutes, but eventually took turns sticking a finger in the anal opening of the dead cow and sucking on it. When everyone finished, the Professor looked at them and said, 'The second most important quality is observation. I stuck in my middle finger and sucked on my index finger.' 'Now learn to pay attention. Life's tough, it's even tougher if you're stupid.'

Smores?

Hey we are thinking of going camping for a couple nights during Fall Break. Most likely one of the state parks in North Georgia. Red Top Mountain has hayrides that week so that sounded like fun but we are open to any ideas. Anyone interested in going?

Birthdays and Bows

Here are some pictures from Trinity's birthday party. She had it at the jumpy place waterslides.

Auburnfest is going to be on October 18th (10:00 to 6:00) in downtown Auburn. I will be working on a way to post pictures of the bows easily but here are two of my recent favorites.

Making the Difference

It isn't the easiest to see, but this is a picture of Randy's award from Verizon. He is at a conference this week and sent us this picture. Out of his district (all of Georgia and Alabama) only 12 awards were given out. He received his for all his hard work on this spreadsheet (just because I don't know what else to call it) that the entire district will be using. Today he gives his presentation to everyone on what it can do and how it works. Go Randy/Daddy! All your girls are proud of you and good luck today!!

Gym Dog Update

Audrey went to a gymnastics birthday party this weekend at the YMCA. She was very excited to be able to walk on the high balance beam (at Spivey's they have these short ones they practice on and at the YMCA they could do pretty much whatever they wanted). Right after I took this picture she did a double back handspring for her dismount...just couldn't catch it on the camera phone. :)

Quirks

So I got tagged to do my 6 quirks and I couldn't think of any. I consider myself pretty laid back and not obsessive about much. So I asked Randy and this is what he came up with...it cracked me up. Thanks best husband ever!

1. Can't use normal words that have secondary sexual meanings, can't order nuts on ice cream, can't say "A basketball point guard's job is to penetrate the lane" (Hey, this is hereditary but I totally agree you will never see hear me say penetrate and luckily I don't like nuts on my ice cream)
2. Can't stay awake in a movie theater
3. Can't fall asleep without rubbing feet together. (just call me a cricket)
4. Grinds teeth all night long. (or maybe I just enjoy waking up with Randy's fingers in my mouth trying to get me to stop)
5. Addicted to sappy teenie bopper romantic comedies. (Sixteen candles, 10 Things I hate about You - maybe I just like movies that start with a number)
6. Has to put legos together exactly according to instructions

Spider Bow

This just turned out too cute! Renee and I are going to set up a booth at the Auburnfest and sell bows. We are excited about our fun little project. I will probably ask for votes on most popular so we know which ones to make the most of. We figured since it will be right before Halloween we will of course have some spooky bows.

My New Addiction

Last weekend Renee and I decided that we could make hairbows. Partly because we didn't want to pay the crazy price at the stores and because we thought it would be fun. It was tons of fun! Here is a picture of our accomplishments.

So yesterday I watched football and made some more hairbows. I am now an addict. I know the girls can only wear maybe two bows at a time but I just can't stop making them. The butterflies and dragonflies are my favorites...they are just too cute. But then the korker ones are so much fun to make. I now have a new outlet to be creative, but everyone will probably be getting hairbows for birthdays and holidays!

What I Came Home Too...

Look! A dining room table. We have never had an official dining room. It has always been used for something else and we just used the breakfast nook to eat our meals. A month ago or so we cleaned everything out of the dining room and went shopping for tables. We found this one we liked but didn't end up getting it. When I got home today there it was. Randy bought it last weekend when him and the girls went to Athens and kept it a secret. I am so excited...we will have to invite someone over for dinner!

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Cherise! It looks like it is time for another girl's night out!

KJ Loves Preschool

Kelsey started preschool yesterday. These pictures are from her open house but yesterday was her first real day of school. Or as she told us, the day she gets to go all by herself. She had a lot of fun. She said they got to play outside but not on the swings, they sang head shoulders, knees and toes and another "new" song, she used the big potty, and they sat criss cross applesauce hands in their lap for circle time. She also shared a Thomas the Train book with a boy. And of course there are her favorite, puzzles. She is going to BFUMC twice a week. Her teacher is Mrs. Mary Lee who was Audrey's teacher when she went to the 3 y/o class.
